Russia announces the success of its tests of its RuNet Internet

The Russian government announced yesterday evening the success of its tests of the internal network RuNet, which it announced some time ago as Russia is trying to reach the stage of independence from the global Internet.

Russia announced that its RuNet internal local network tests had succeeded greatly, to make this network the largest internal Internet in the world, and the Russian government said that these tests were attended by the relevant government agencies, Russian Internet suppliers and Russian Internet companies and lasted for several days during last week.

Although the Russian government has not announced any details on the matter, it has indicated that the task of directing internet traffic towards the RuNet internal Internet after disconnecting from the global Internet has been successfully completed.
