Facebook develops its operating system to be a replacement for Android
Facebook is developing a new operating system to make it available to its real hardware, Oculus and Portal.

According to a report by Alex Heath of The Information, the company does not want its progress to be based on Android and Google, so it has commissioned Mark Lucovsky, co-author of Windows NT, to develop this system.

This movement responds to various reasons, but the most important thing is the existence of a system that provides more freedom, privacy and data security for the company to its users, points that have been heavily criticized by Facebook.

With this system, Facebook will have more freedom to create social interaction on its devices, so that it can better integrate its new operating system for applications (Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram). In addition, it will prevent a case similar to Huawei's case; a default breach of agreements between Facebook and Google that may affect future and current devices, such as Portal or Oculus.

After this step everything indicates Facebook wants to grow more and stop being just a social networking company.
